​UEFA have confirmed disciplinary proceedings against Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal after he managed to produce one of the most deliberate yellow cards we’ve ever seen.

Real Madrid defender Carvajal received the yellow after it took him at least 20 seconds, if not longer, to take a throw-in against APOEL Nicosia on Tuesday evening.

The card he picked up triggered an automatic one-match ban – against Dortmund on the December 6 – but he could be hit with an extra game ban if found guilty of breaking article 15 of UEFA’s disciplinary regulations.

The following clip of Carvajal failing to throw the ball is actually quite hard to believe. Seriously, Dani?!

On their official website, UEFA said that charges against Real Madrid CF player Dani Carvajal were being made after he ‘received a yellow card on purpose’.

The case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on 7 December.
