REVEALED: The overwhelming clause that was demanded by Leo Messi before signing his new Barcelona contract will amaze you

Club and Barcelona could breathe a sleight of release when Lionel Messi finally signed his new contract with Barca back in November.
But now reports from Spain are claiming that an interesting clause was included in the player’s deal.
With political situation very tensed in Catalonia recently, it is being reported that the Argentine has planned an exit route if all goes pear shaped for the Blaugrana.
El Mundo Deportivo report on Friday that Messi would continue play for Barca only if they remain part of Spanish, French, English or German league.
Naturally, remaining in LaLiga would be the realistic option for Barcelona given the legal and practical issues in integrating to a distant competition.
Also in such case, Messi’s 700million euros release clause would be dropped and he could depart for free.
Barcelona are said to believe this to be a given and consider it a gesture of commitment by Messi, who became the world’s highest paid player when renewing following protracted negotiations.
That said, the scenario in which the club enter a Catalan-only league is also thought to affect the club’s other contracts even if no specific clause is laid down, given that such a drastic change may effectively render agreements null and void.
