And club officials have warned the supporters they must show up at the Bernabeu or else they won’t be granded access for the match against Barca on December 23.
The Madrid hierarchy have sent official communications to members of the club’s four largest supporter groups: the Primavera Blanca, La Clasica, Veterans RMCF and North Fans RMCF.
“By the choice of the club, we have expressly communicated to all fan groups that voluntary cession of your ticket for this match will result in the compulsory cession of your ticket for the Real Madrid-Barcelona match on December 23,” the statement read,” via the Mirror.
Season ticket holders in the section are obliged to attend all matches in a bid to make a strong atmosphere at the ground, and are instructed to pass on tickets if they fail to show up.
But Marca are reporting that due to being a Cup tie, the fans are not allowed to pass their ticket on.
Madrid’s tie with Cultural Leonesa at the same stage of last season’s competition saw just over 47,000 attend.
