And after receiving his last Ballon d’Or earlier this month, he made a bold claim telling France Football that he’s the best footballer in history.

“I don’t see anyone better than me,” Ronaldo told France Football, per the Independent. “No player does things that I cannot do myself, but I see things others can’t do.

“There’s no more complete player than me. I’m the best player in history — in the good and the bad moments.”

Two weeks later, a former Barcelona midfielder and club legend, Xavi has decided to respond to these comments while talking for Tot Costa de Catalunya Radio.

And Barca fans will totally agree with what he had to say.

“Messi does more things compared to Cristiano,” the Spaniard is quoted as saying by AS. “Messi is the best.

“If Cristiano considers himself the best player in history, that’s fine, but those of us who see him train, there is no comparison.

“Messi is the best in history and we don’t see it any other way.”
