Thanks But No Thanks! Ivan Rakitic congratulates Cristiano Ronaldo on his fifth ”Ballon d’Or” win – but what he said about Leo Messi is quite intriguing

​Cristiano Ronaldo has won recently the most prestigious individual award, ”Ballon d’Or”.

With this year’s triumph in Paris, Ronaldo was equalized with his rival Lionel Messi with five ”Ballon d’Or” won during his career.

The last compliment to the Portuguese star came from Barcelona’s midfielder, Ivan Rakitic.

Former Schalke and Sevilla member congratulated Ronaldo for winning the fifth ”Ballon d’Or” in his career.

However, Rakitic thinks Lionel Messi is the best in the football history.

“I have maximum respect for Ronaldo, one of the best in history, but for me is and will always be Messi the best”.

“Congratulations Cristianos for the fifth ‘Ballon d’Or’ triumph, but Messi is unique”, said Rakitic.

Croatia international has finally said there is no room for discussion of who is number one in football.

“There should be no room for discussion. There is only one number one in football and he is Leo Messi”.
