BREAKING: Real Madrid set to make Cristiano Ronaldo world’s highest paid player after only two people

Real Madrid are reportedly close to offering superstar Cristiano Ronaldo an improved contract that would make him the third highest paid player in the world right now.
The Portuguese was believed to be unsettled at the club after both Neymar and Lionel Messi surpassed his annual salary (excluding bonus payments and sponsorship deals) this season.
The Argentine extended his contract at FC Barcelona and now reportedly pockets €46 million (R676 million) a year, while Neymar’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain is believed to earn him €36 million (R529 million) annually.
While Real were initially hesitant to offer the Portugal captain an improvement on his current €21 million (R309 million) a year contract, he has since silenced all doubters, and the club’s bosses are now keen to extend the 33-year-old’s deal.

Spanish publication OK Diario has suggest that the Madrid club is preparing to offer Ronaldo a contract worth €35 million (R514 million) annually, which would put him just behind Neymar and closer to Messi.
It is believed that Ronaldo’s representative Jorge Mendes has been in regular contact with Los Blancos’ bosses in recent weeks after being impressed by his improvement in form.
The Portugal talisman has scored 17 goals in his past 10 appearances for Real, and more than any other player in Europe since the turn of the year.
