The Uruguayan has been heavily criticised for his performances so far in this campaign, but because of the lack of depth up front, the club have not been able to drop him.
Suarez, who has scored just three goals in 13 matches, has cut a frustrated figure in the past two months, although he has also been struggling with an injury that kept him out of a few games earlier in the season.
According to Don Balon, manager Ernesto Valverde is considering signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid to strengthen his team's attack, or even ultimately replace Suarez.
It was also recently claimed that Lionel Messi feels the Frenchman would be a fantastic addition to his side, especially after Neymar's exit from the Camp Nou in August.
Despite his poor run, Suarez has, overall, been in brilliant form since joining the Catalan giants in 2014, scoring 124 goals in 160 matches for the club.
