The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with the Spanish giants in recent months, with speculation suggesting he could be Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor at the club.
When Neymar signed for PSG, it was said that he wanted to be the focal point of the French side’s three-year plan, during which they want to achieve UEFA Champions League success for the first time.
It has been claimed that the Brazilian could move on if president Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s project fails, and might even look to do so long before the aforementioned three-year period ends.
Months later, PSG find themselves in a difficult position in Europe, having been defeated 3-1 in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie against Los Blancos last week.
Neymar’s uninspired performance in that match saw him come in for some heavy criticism, but according to Telefoot, he has made a decision on his future regardless of what his team’s fate in the Champions League this season is – the former FC Barcelona superstar has apparently decided to stay at the club even if Les Parisiens get knocked out of the European competition, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
The forward has been in excellent form since his arrival at the Paris club, scoring 28 goals and assisting 16 strikes in 28 matches.
