BREAKING: Six players on Real Madrid’s axe list as Perez plans complete overhaul and the funding of Neymar signing from PSG

With Paris Saint-Germain having reportedly told Real Madrid they would want €400 million (R5.8 billion) for Neymar, here are six stars Los Blancos could sell in order to raise money for the mega deal.
Officials of the Spanish giants reportedly met with the Brazilian’s father and two attorneys in Paris recently, and it emerged that the French club would want €400 million for their world record signing.
Despite the massive fee, Spanish publication AS claim that Real are still interested in securing the 26-year-old’s services and are working on a plan to make the mega deal happen.
However, in order to spend that kind of money, the Madrid club would need to let a few players go, and AS suggest that six names in particular are high on the club’s axe list.

Gareth Bale’s time at the Santiago Bernabeu seems to be coming to an end after a string of less-than-impressive performances and constant setbacks through injuries. Real are reportedly keen to offload the Welshman as long as his value is still high – Transfermarkt value him at €75 million (R1.1 billion).
In addition, Karim Benzema’s days at the club could also be numbered after scoring only eight goals in 33 games across all competitions so far this season.
AS believe that the Frenchman could bring in a further €50 million (R728 million), while the sale of Isco, who is also experiencing a dip in form this campaign, could bring in another €75 million.
Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is said to be worth €18 million (R262 million), but Los Blancos would need to sign a replacement for their current No. 1.

In addition, Marcos Llorente and Dani Ceballos, who seem unable to reach more than “squad player” status, are valued at €15 million (R218 million) and €17 million (R248 million), respectively.
If Real do decide to and manage to sell all six for their Transfermarkt valuations – usually players sell for higher than their estimated worth in the current market – the club would collect at least €250 million (R3.64 billion) in funds.
But, of course, these players would need to be replaced in Zinedine Zidane’s squad, and the arrival of Neymar alone would not be enough to fill the gaps.
