Salah, who was crowned Africa’s Player of the Year at the CAF awards gala on 4 January, spoke to Soccer Laduma’s Thomas Kwenaite about rumours linking him with Los Blancos.
“Well, I have heard so many rumours it does not bother me anymore,” the Liverpool winger said.
“But I have been treated very well at Liverpool and right now, I belong to Liverpool and I am happy at Anfield.
“Let us leave it at that.”
The 25-year-old lifted CAF’s highest individual award following his heroics with Egypt – helping them qualify for their first FIFA World Cup since 1990 and reaching the 2017 AFCON final – an impressive season at Roma and a superb start to the new campaign with Liverpool.
However, he insisted he can still achieve more, and wants to become the greatest player ever from Egypt.
“I want to win this award again next year and the year after and perhaps 20 times,” Salah added.
“I want to be one of the greatest players ever to come out of Egypt.
